Now in its 12th series on BBC Radio 4, comedian, columnist and author MARK STEEL visits different towns across the UK. He delves into the history, people and idiosyncrasies to try to work out what ingredients combine to make the places distinctive. He then creates a bespoke stand-up show about the town, which he performs in front of a local audience.
It’s a celebration places that have their own fascinating stories to tell with inhabitants who are passionate about what their town has to offer. Previously, Mark has recorded shows in well over 50 interesting and unusual places across the UK, as well places a little bit further afield such as Gibraltar and Malta.
This series, Mark is going to be turning his attention to Paris. Recording at La Nouvelle Seine on the 12th September, he’ll be recording shows both in English and in French. Tickets are free, so book quickly to make sure you don’t miss out!
